Key Job Responsibilities
- Execute SEO Tactics: Implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies, including keyword optimization, on-page content optimization, technical SEO audits, local listings, and additional ongoing strategies to improve organic search rankings.
- Develop and Implement SEO Strategies: Collaborate with the SEO Manager to develop and refine long-term SEO strategies tailored to the unique needs of a multi-location client portfolio.
- Monitor and Report on SEO Performance: Analyze SEO metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports that translate data into actionable insights for clients and stakeholders.
- Educate Clients and Stakeholders: Conduct presentations and workshops to educate clients and internal teams on SEO best practices, emerging trends, and the impact of SEO efforts on business objectives. Manage Multiple Projects: Handle a high volume of projects simultaneously, ensuring that all client deliverables are met with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with other digital marketing teams, including content, paid search, and web development, to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing strategies.
- Partner with Preferred Partners: Collaborate with preferred partners to share insights, ideate, and execute A/B SEO tests, driving continuous optimization and innovation in SEO practices.
- Adapt to the Dynamic Digital Landscape: Maintain current knowledge and awareness about advancements, improvements, and new technologies related to organic search strategies, act on opportunities to test or pilot new search products and practices, and lead projects and initiatives to drive efficiencies, contain costs, and elevate the effectiveness of the organic products discipline.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in marketing, communications, advertising, general business, or a related field. 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing position, with a focus on organic search strategies and search campaign management. Previous agency experience is ideal.
- Must have a solid knowledge of and experience in search engine optimization (on-page, off-page, and technical), including keyword strategy, local search, copy optimization, link building, meta data update, markup schema, and SEO tools, such as BrightEdge, SEMrush, and SEO Clarity.
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience in Google tracking and analytics tools, such as Google Tag Manager and Google Looker Studio, Google Analytics certification is strongly desired.
- Proficient in updating websites across diverse CMS platforms to implement content and technical SEO tactics, ensuring optimal website performance and search engine visibility. Experience includes executing keyword strategies, optimizing copy, and employing technical SEO enhancements across website platforms. Sitecore experience is a plus!
- Familiarity with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) methodologies is a plus, as the role may involve collaborating with teams to integrate SEO strategies that align with CRO objectives. The ability to synergize SEO efforts with CRO principles, aiming to improve user experience and drive higher conversions, is highly beneficial.
- Skilled in organizing and managing personal productivity, meeting deadlines, and working through quickly changing priorities and environments. Demonstrated proficiency in solving problems, thinking strategically and creatively, and resolving conflicts is required.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong customer-centric orientation. Solid ability to make creative and compelling presentations related to search engine strategy to diverse audiences, including clients, investors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be experienced in interacting with team members from multiple functional disciplines and different job levels, as well as building and maintaining productive relationships with external vendors and suppliers, and business leaders throughout the Company.
- Skilled and comfortable in using digital and online software and apps to accomplish work, manage and organize time, and communicate, including the ability to use Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS, email, and virtual meeting software.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain current knowledge of the Company’s marketing function’s infrastructure, platforms, marketing products, programs, and strategies currently in place, and the established policies, protocols, standards, and other requirements related to marketing and the Greystar brand. Stay up to date on preferred marketing vendors and suppliers, including external creative agencies, and stay informed about initiatives and priorities related to digital marketing.
- Build, establish, and access a network of experts and professionals inside and outside of the multifamily real estate industry and attend or participate in conferences, professional associations, and other events that contribute to professional growth. Set and communication standards for team member participation in activities that support their professional growth and development and discipline expertise.
- Follow and oversee team member compliance with the Company’s established operating, systems, financial, and human resources policies and procedures, and meet Company and departmental standards and requirements related to job performance.
- Personally practice proper safety techniques, follow the Company’s risk and safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any team member or visitor injuries, accidents, or other safety-related issues to the appropriate individual(s). Ensure team member awareness of and compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
- Continually identify and act on opportunities for improving the level and quality of service provided by the National Marketing and Digital Marketing functions, and lead efforts that improve their efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and overall contributions to the Company.

The pay range for this position is $70,000- - $80,000.
Additional Compensation:
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
