JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As the Assistant Community Manager, you’ll be at the heart of this vibrant student community. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in everything from supporting residents and leading the onsite team to helping manage day-to-day operations and financial processes.

Working alongside the Community Manager, you’ll help ensure both buildings run smoothly, contribute to leasing performance, and support a positive, high-energy team environment. You’ll be a visible and approachable presence on site - someone who enjoys building relationships, taking initiative, and making a real impact on the resident experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to our front-line, resident services team members.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents, managing enquiries, concerns, and escalations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Review leasing activities and performance against occupancy and revenue targets, making recommendations to improve conversion, retention and renewal.
  • Support the full resident lifecycle processes (check-ins, renewals, departures).
  • Assist with financial administration, including rent processing, reconciliations, reporting and budget support.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety standards, building policies and procedures.
  • Drive a culture of improvement through the review, and implementation of new procedures or processes which increase both team and resident experience and performance.

To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Prior supervisory or team-leadership experience
  • Knowledge of StarRez or other property management systems.
  • Solid Excel skills
  • Practical experience with financial administration (reconciliations, budgets, reporting)
  • Hold a valid government I.D and able to obtain a required background checks (National Criminal History)
  • Certificate of Registration (NSW) or higher, or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe
