JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing strategic direction for compliance programs, with a strong emphasis on fee management and transparency. The position ensures adherence to internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory standards. The individual will champion ethical behavior, support sound decision-making, and contribute to the development and execution of compliance initiatives that align with organizational goals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive compliance strategy informed by risk assessments and other key criteria.
  • Design, document, and maintain compliance controls, including policies, procedures, standards, and job aids.
  • Conduct risk assessments across business units and sub-processes to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for projects and initiatives requiring fee transparency compliance input.
  • Develop and implement compliance education and awareness programs, including training plans.
  • Establish reporting mechanisms to evaluate program effectiveness and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with business units to strengthen compliance through control monitoring and testing.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert related to fee governance and transparency requirements.

CROSS-DEPARTMENT COORDINATION

Operations:

  • Develop, promote, and maintain best practices for fee management and communication.
  • Train operations teams to ensure compliance with fee management policies.
  • Analyze data from on-the-ground activities to improve fee practices.

Marketing & Digital Presence:

  • Ensure marketing materials reflect accurate fee-related information.
  • Work with marketing teams and vendors (e.g., PMSs, website providers, ILSs, Engrain) to maintain consistent messaging.
  • Guide the ongoing use of Community Fee Guides and other consumer-facing documents.

Property Systems:

  • Leverage technology to streamline fee management processes and reporting.
  • Safeguard data integrity and security in fee-related systems, including Salesforce.

Legal Compliance:

  • Partner with the legal team to ensure alignment with regulatory and contractual obligations.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience preferred; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing governance frameworks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Deep understanding of fee structures and regulatory environments in the real estate sector.
  • Strong project management and operational execution capabilities.
  • Experience leading and sustaining large-scale initiatives.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Team members work in an office or remote work environment. No special physical demands are required.
  • Rare or occasional travel may be required to attend business meetings, training programs, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
