Key Role Responsibilities
- Completes the daily transactions and tasks related to the financial operations of collecting and posting rent, fees, and other payments, performs daily bank reconciliations and reconciles bank accounts, processes invoices and payables and prepares financial reports.
- Operates the property management system (Yardi) and completes transactions by entering all required fields correctly and by completing updates and back-ups to ensure the integrity of the system.
- Reviews resident files and accounting records to determine unpaid and/or late fees owed, communicates residents regarding outstanding balances, implements procedures for collecting on delinquencies, and enforces the lease to maximize revenue.
- Follows the Company’s established procedures related to evictions by following proper notice requirements, evicting residents,
- Processes resident move-outs by reviewing lease terms and notice requirements, applying appropriate deposit and lease cancellation fees, if applicable, and processing the disposition in accordance with established procedures and legal requirements.
- Processes yearly reconciliation of service charge accounts.
- Completes various accounting, financial, administrative, and other reports and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Organisational Responsibilities
- Follow established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organisational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting breaches of process/ policy or concerns to appropriate individual(s).
- Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Company, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards by immediately reporting any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/visitor/resident injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to appropriate individual(s).
- Identify areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Keep abreast of current changes in technology, processes and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training classes, research and/or subscribing to the internet or other professional publications, or utilising other appropriate method(s) to obtain business and professional information, and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility.

About You
- Bachelor’s Degree, combined with accounting qualification
- Accounting foundation background with a thorough understanding of accounting procedures and double entry book-keeping
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Experience with Yardi (preferred)
Experience & Skills
- Experience of working in a similar role within the Real Estate sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of property operations, lease terms and lease enforcement, including collections.
- Strong proficiency in using property management software (preferably Yardi).
- Strong team working and interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail, methodical and takes pride in work
- Positive “can do” attitude with desire to learn, train and develop in the role.
- Self-starter with an organised and proactive approach.
- Excellent written and spoken Dutch & English communication skills
