JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Greystar is seeking a Wellbeing & Events Manager to bring energy, empathy, and creativity to our student accommodation community in Adelaide. This role is ideal for an early to mid-career professional with experience in events, student engagement, community development, or wellbeing-focused environments who is ready to take ownership of a dynamic, people-first role.
JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Role
As the Wellbeing & Events Manager, you will be at the heart of the student experience. You will design and deliver engaging programs that promote connection, wellbeing, and belonging, while also providing frontline support to students when they need it most.
This is a hands-on, varied role that combines:
Event and program delivery
Student wellbeing and support
Community building
Leadership of casual event staff
You will work closely with the onsite Community Manager and wider Greystar teams to create a welcoming, supportive environment that students love calling home.
What You Will Be Doing:
Create engaging student experiences
Plan and deliver a diverse calendar of events focused on wellbeing, social connection, education, and fun
Manage events end to end, from ideas and budgeting to delivery and evaluation
Capture event content for resident engagement and marketing
Support student wellbeing
Be a trusted and approachable presence for residents
Respond sensitively to wellbeing concerns, complaints, and incidents
Liaise with universities and external support services to connect students with the right help
Build strong partnerships
Manage relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and community partners
Create partnerships that add value through discounts, collaborations, and experiences
Lead and support casual teams
Train, schedule, and support casual event staff
Ensure events are well staffed across evenings and weekends
Support operations and engagement
Assist with front desk queries and resident communications
Contribute to retention, engagement, and community satisfaction
About You
This role suits someone early to mid-career who is ready to step into a role with ownership, responsibility, and real impact.
You will bring:
Experience in events, student engagement, community programs, hospitality, social work, or wellbeing-focused roles
Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with diverse groups
A warm, empathetic approach with the ability to manage sensitive situations
Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Adaptable and tech-savvy, you’re comfortable using scheduling tools, CRM/EDM systems, and platforms like StarRez
Requirements
Must hold a valid driver’s licence and be eligible for a National Criminal History Check and Working With Children Check.
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends to support events and resident activities as required.
